After savoring a traditional breakfast, we’ll depart from the ancient capital and head south. As the landscape changes, the stunning vista of the Middle Atlas will gradually unfold before you. Our journey will take us to Ifrane, often dubbed the “Moroccan Swiss city,” a charming village built in the style of Swiss architecture. We’ll pause in one of the world’s largest cedar forests, where you’ll have the opportunity to encounter and feed the Barbary apes (macaques).
We’ll stop for lunch in Midelt, a town between mountain ranges. As the scenery shifts from verdant greens to arid yellows, a dry breeze will hint at our approach to the south, with occasional glimpses of desert sands as we pass through Errachidia, the last major city before reaching the Merzouga desert.
