Enjoy a lunch break en route, with a delightful meal awaiting you at your Riad upon arrival.

Day 3 :Fes El Bali Sightseeing Tour

Spend the day discovering the spiritual and scientific heart of Morocco with a local expert guide. Begin your journey in Fes, the oldest capital, at the iconic Blue Gate, known locally as Bab Boujloud. As you pass through, you’ll step back in time, navigating the maze-like medieval medina with its narrow alleys, bustling souks, traditional handcrafts, and the charming presence of mules and donkeys. Visit the historic Jewish quarter, Mellah, and marvel at the Royal Palace gate. Your driver will then take you to an ancient fortress on a hill, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the city. On your way back, explore the intricate 12th-century ceramic craftsmanship. Continue your exploration with visits to the city’s highlights, including Souk Seffarine, Medersa Bou Inania, and the world’s oldest university, passing by the Mosque of Quaraouin. Conclude your tour with a restful return to your riad, where a traditional meal awaits.

Day 4 :Fes - Ifrane- Midelt- Merzouga

After a traditional breakfast, we’ll head south from the old capital. As the Middle Atlas Mountains appear on the horizon, we’ll reach Ifrane, the “Moroccan Swiss City,” with its Swiss-style architecture. We’ll pause in a vast cedar forest to see and feed Barbary apes. Continuing to Midelt for lunch, the landscape shifts from green to arid yellow. Passing through Errachidia, we approach the Merzouga desert. Here, camel caravans will take you on a ride over the golden sands, offering a stunning sunset view. We’ll arrive at your camp for a delicious meal, enjoying a starry night with Berber music around a campfire.

Day 5:Merzouga Sahara Full Experience

Experience the authenticity of the Merzouga desert, starting after breakfast. Our driver will pick you up for a journey through the vast Sahara dunes, visiting famous fossil sites and meeting Berber nomad families. This is a unique opportunity to learn about their history, lifestyle, and traditions while enjoying mint tea in their tents. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the open air. Later, return to the camp for a refreshing shower, followed by free time to explore the dunes at sunset or engage in optional activities like quad biking, ATV riding, or buggy driving. Conclude your day with dinner and tea served at the camp.

Day 6 :Merzouga => Gorge Todras => Gorge Dades

Witnessing sunrise in the Sahara is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We highly recommend finding a spot to watch as the sun gradually illuminates the golden dunes. After breakfast, you’ll embark on a leisurely drive towards Boumalne Dades Gorge. En route, you’ll explore ancient underground irrigation canals from the 11th to 14th centuries, showcasing the ingenuity of the Berber tribes in channeling mountain water to their groves. Enjoy lunch at a traditional restaurant.

Continuing through Tinghir city towards Dades Gorge, you’ll have free time to stroll through the vast canyon alongside the water. As you approach, the striking architecture of old sandcastles hidden in the palm oasis will come into view, offering a panoramic vista of the region’s famous “Monkey Toes” rock formations. By evening, you’ll arrive at your Riad for rest and a delightful dinner.

Traveling through the Ounilla Valley offers panoramic views of clay and mud houses, showcasing the region’s distinct lifestyle. Solo Traveller

In May 2019, I realized my dream – to ride a camel day after day in the Sahara desert. It was a wonderful and unforgettable trip, which was guided by Lhoussin Prince and his friend. They told me about the country and the surrounding area. Prepared and served delicious and tasty food. They even made bread in the desert sand. Many wonderful memories come into mind as I write this. What I remember best are the stars and the moon in the sky – far away, but also so close – and not to forget the endless silence.
It was a wonderful trip, which I would recommend by heart to everybody who are looking for something different from Gran Canaria.
