Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 :Marrakech => Ait Ban Haddou => Ouarzazate => Dades Gorge

Your adventure begins at 8:30 AM when your driver will meet you at your Riad. From there, you will embark on a journey southward, crossing the High Atlas Mountains, which act as a natural divide, separating Morocco into two distinct regions. As you ascend to heights exceeding 2200 meters, you will be treated to breathtaking panoramic views. You will then follow the ancient caravan route known as the Ounila Valley, renowned for its historic Kasbahs and 14th-century architecture. Lunch will be served at the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. By late afternoon, you will pass through Morocco’s “Hollywood” city, where numerous films such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and Lawrence of Arabia were produced. The journey will conclude at a charming Riad in the Dades Gorge.

Day 2 :Dades Gorge => Tinghir => Erg Chebbi Merzouga

After breakfast, you will depart for the Merzouga Desert, leaving the Dades Gorge and heading south. Along the way, you will pass by a geological formation known as the “Monkey Fingers,” which is shaped into a striking mountain. You will also enjoy views of beautiful oases, renowned for their dates, figs, peaches, and almonds. Lunch will be at a traditional restaurant. In the early afternoon, you will pass by an ancient irrigation system used for water distribution, as well as fossil houses dating back more than 200 million years. Upon reaching Merzouga, your camel caravan will be ready to take you to the top of the dunes, where you will witness a magical sunset before arriving at your camp. Dinner under the stars, a campfire, and traditional music will be the highlights of your desert night.

Day 3 :Erg Chebbi Merzouga => Ifran => Fes

Wake up early to find a prime spot to witness the sunrise over the golden sand dunes. After breakfast, your journey continues northward, with the landscape gradually transforming from arid and yellow to lush and green. You will reach the largest cedar forest in the heart of the Middle Atlas, an ideal location to observe Berber macaque monkeys. Please be cautious, as they might attempt to take your phones, glasses, or food. The journey will take you through Ifrane, often referred to as the “Moroccan Swiss Village,” renowned for its Swiss-inspired architecture. By evening, you will arrive in Fes, the oldest imperial city in Morocco, where you will rest at your authentic Riad.

I’ve travelled with Lhoussin 2018 and he was been very kind and polite. He was a storyteller for the group and we all loved his respect and peace. He unblocked all issues that came up with the locals.
I would actually love to go back in a trip with him, getting to know other regions of Morrocos
