Full description
You meet your guide in front of Café Argana on Jemaa el-Fna and, after a short introduction to the city, walk to the Koutoubia Mosque to see its minaret from outside. The route continues through the southern medina and Bab Agnaou, the old gate to the royal district, to the Saadian Tombs, a 16th-century funerary complex, and on into the Mellah, the old Jewish quarter.
Next is the palace you chose when booking: the ruins of El Badi Palace or the courtyards of Bahia Palace. From there you enter the souks, stop for a traditional sand-coffee tasting and visit a workshop where babouches are made by hand, before walking back to Jemaa el-Fna near where you started.
